A Journey of Trust, Expertise, and Dedication in the Mortgage Industry

It’s hard to believe, but 2026 marks James and Lisa Ferguson’s 30th year as dedicated mortgage professionals. From our first day in the industry back in (1996), when applications were done mostly on paper and fax machines were cutting-edge to today’s fast-paced digital world with instant pre-approvals, closing loans in record times, and evolving regulations- We’ve had the honor of guiding thousands of families through one of life’s biggest milestones; buying or refinancing their home, or building their investment portfolio. We have become not just their professional strategist, we have also built long term friendships.

We opened up Castle Rock Mortgage in 2004 and we started out as a Broker, moved to being a Lender and now with the new way to offer even better service we have moved to having a support staff that can get you in your home even faster as a Mortgage Broker.

Over these three decades, we’ve witnessed incredible changes:

Interest rates swinging from double digits in the early days to historic lows ( and back up again!).

The rise of technology transforming how we process loans- from manual underwriting to automated approvals. From appraisals being required and now Appraisal waivers on conventional loans.

Multiple market cycles, including challenging periods like the 2008 housing crisis and recent rate volatility, each teaching resilience and the importance of personalized guidance.

What hasn’t changed is our core commitment: putting people first, assisting Veterans with VA loans, First time homebuyers, Investors and navigate what is the best option to advise them on.

We are proud to have helped so many families secure financing, often turning “we can’t afford it” into “welcome home.” Or look at all the money we saved on refinancing.

As we reflect on 30 years, we are grateful for the life balance that it has provided in order to be with our family. We are excited about the future and how the mortgage landscape continues to evolve, the goal remains the same: making homeownership accessible, understandable, and stress-free for everyone we serve.
